We are excited about the year ahead and hope all of you have a safe and prosperous 2010. The new year has already brought some staffing changes for us at OSR, so the next time you stop in, look forward to seeing some smiling new faces.
Starting off, we sadly announce that our friend and colleague, Courtney Woodward, has left OSR to pursue other endeavors. Courtney worked in a combination position for OSR, both as a tech at our Anthem clinic and as the head Athletic Trainer at Boulder Creek High School. We wish Courtney the best of luck and thank her for all of her hard work, she will be missed by all - staff and patients alike.
Secondly, the Anthem clinic is also saying goodbye to Sarah Glagovich, one of our afternoon techs. Sarah is heading to ASU to pursue a degree in nursing. With her strong work ethic and excellent people skills, we know she'll be a big success. Good luck Sarah!
Lastly, we are very excited to welcome Barb Gillies to our staff. Barb is our new receptionist at the Peoria clinic and she joins our team with many years of administrative experience in physical therapy. We are very happy to have her with us and are confident that her skills and personality will prove to be a great asset.
Veronica Cantu is returning from the Peoria clinic to her full time duties as our Patient Care Representative. Veronica will work out of the Anthem clinic, but will be accessible to all OSR patients for questions, concerns and comments. Please feel free to contact her directly at 623.551.9706 or by email. Welcome back, Veronica!

North Phoenix Clinic
This month we are spotlighting not just one employee, but the entire North Phoenix clinic. OSR N. Phoenix represents the first OSR expansion site and the first OSR clinic located within a Mountainside Fitness Center. Established to provide outstanding patient care to the Tramonto / N. Phoenix area and celebrating its one year anniversary this past November, this clinic is a proven success.
Clinic Director, Ryan Kaler, PT, MPT, says their success has much to do with his wonderful staff. The hard work and attentive focus of Bridget (receptionist), Uche and Marcy (PT techs) enable Ryan to provide the highest quality of care to nearly 100 patients a week. Ryan's patients continue to have great results and have simply fallen in love with the energetic treatment environment combined with the caring personality of his staff.
Ryan has developed an excellent relationship with Mountainside Fitness administrative and training staff as well as with referring physicians, bolstering his clinic's growing reputation as a top choice for physical therapy. OSR N. Phoenix continues to offer numerous additional services, including assisted stretching, Quik-Stim packages, and OSR Edge Metabolic Assessments. Always willing to help, Ryan encourages inquiries and looks forward to providing educational opportunities to patients through a series of upcoming seminars on physical therapy, wellness and related topics.
Congratulations to Ryan and his staff on a stellar first year! For appointments, hours of operation or other questions about the OSR N. Phoenix clinic, simply call 623.434.4655.
We want to know what you think
At OSR our motto is, "Quality Rehabilitation Through Personalized Care". We take great pride in giving our patients a quality care experience through a uniquely personalized approach. Providing only the best in patient care is our driving passion and we want to make sure that we are always working to achieve it.
In order to help us better understand how we are doing, we are asking that you take just a couple minutes out of your day to fill out our online survey. After six weeks, we will hold a drawing of all the surveys we have received. Randomly selected winners will receive two movie passes to Harkins Movie Theatres as an additional thank you. These surveys mean a lot to us, so please take some time and provide us with your feedback regarding your experience with OSR. Our online survey can be found on our website.
OSR Physical Therapy Emphasizes Giving Back
Three years ago OSR President and CEO, Aaron Williams PT, DPT, started the OSR Holiday Giving Program; a "pay it forward" type of activity. Aaron gives all twenty-five of his employees a $50 bill to be used for a charitable purpose. The decision on exactly how to spend it is up to each staff member. All Aaron asks is that the staff take the money and go out into the world to influence, if only in a small way, someone in need. Some of the staff choose to feed or clothe a family in need, or to buy toys for children who, otherwise, might not have gifts for Christmas. Others choose to match this gift to make more of a difference or ask friends & family to match it. Suddenly, $50 has turned into $200!
This program has become a tradition that OSR is proud to continue each year. It is always fun and tremendously rewarding to look back and see all the wonderful ways people use this gift to provide for others. We enjoy making someone else's day a bit brighter and we extend a big Thank You to Aaron for encouraging us to do so.
