February 2010
OSR Welcomes Three New Faces

OSR is pleased to announce the addition of three new employees to our staff.
Ben Klein, ATC is a certified Athletic Trainer and will be taking over the Head Athletic Trainer position at Boulder Creek High School in Anthem. When Ben is not in the training room keeping the Jaguars healthy, he will be working at the Anthem clinic.

Our Gilbert location (located inside Mountainside Fitness) is excited to welcome Sarah Harwell, PT, DPT to the clinical staff. We are doing well in Gilbert and have brought on Sarah to work with Curtiss to continue to enhance and expand services to our SE Valley patients. We are confident that her skill-set and personality will prove to be a great asset to the Gilbert clinic.

Amanda Diveley, PTA has joined Ryan and his staff at our N. Phoenix location (also located inside Mountainside Fitness). Amanda is a certified Physical Therapist Assistant, joining Ryan to assist with his patient load and further compliment his clinical staff. As a PTA, she will work independently with patients, maintain her own schedule and provide another great option for care for our
N. Phoenix patients.
We are thrilled to see our offices doing so well - Ben, Sarah & Amanda, OSR welcomes you!

Hilary Delph
This month our employee spotlight is on Hilary Delph. Hilary is the afternoon tech at our Peoria location and is currently in Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) school at Gateway Community College. She has been working with OSR since August of 2009 and has loved every moment. Hilary enjoys working one-on-one with our patients and contributing to their progress through rehabilitation. She will complete another year and a half of school before becoming a certified PTA. As a component of her educational program, Hilary will complete her first clinical rotation at our Anthem clinic this summer.
When she is not in class or in the clinic, Hilary enjoys photography, attending her church and traveling. She is looking forward to a big trip later this spring when she will hop a plane to discover the great green country of Ireland. All of us who have had the pleasure of working with Hilary know that she is a ray of sunshine for the Peoria clinic. We love having her on our team - thanks for all of your hard
work Hilary!
Relay for Life 2010
Team OSR is at it again! The 2010 American Cancer Society's (ACS) annual Relay for Life cancer walk is coming up soon. Our fundraising efforts have already begun and we need your help. This is the first time that ACS has held Relay for Life in the spring, so we better get moving. Over the past four years, Team OSR has successfully raised several thousand dollars for cancer research by participating in this event. We hope that 2010 is no different and we would greatly appreciate your donation this year to help us get it done. By donating to our team, you will be part of a life-changing event that gives everyone in the community a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, to remember loved ones lost, and to fight back against a disease that takes too much. Help us create a world where cancer can no longer claim another year of anyone's life. You can drop off a check and/or cash donation at any of our locations. Let's see a cure for Cancer in our lifetime! Together, we can achieve this!
The Running Girls of OSR
On January 17th, OSR Physical Therapists Nicole Besana & Kori Williams, along with Office Manager Diane Greenough participated in the P.F Chang's Rock-n-Roll Marathon. Determined to succeed, the girls trained hard and completed the half marathon. Training for any type of race or competitive athletic event can be very intense. Using knowledge, personal discipline and support from the OSR staff, they turned hard work into success, each meeting or surpassing their individual time goals. We have since learned that dozens of OSR patients ran right along with them - great job to everyone who participated! If you have questions about how to enhance your training regimen, please call any of our locations or check out the OSR Edge Metabolic Assessment program.
OSR's 5th Annual Shootout in the Park
The annual Anthem Days celebration is here again! Carnival rides, games, contests, food and drink, live music, arts and crafts, business fair, Easter egg hunt, & pony rides - nothing brings more activities and more people together in one place than Anthem Days. The annual community festival is celebrating its 11th anniversary this year and OSR is proud to be involved with this one-of-a-kind event. This is our 5th year hosting the OSR Basketball Skills Challenge. The Challenge (AKA, Shootout in the Park) will include a H.O.R.S.E tournament, 3-point shootout, free throw contest, and a half court shot. Prizes will be awarded, so don't miss your chance to join in the fun and capitalize on your skills! The Challenge will take place Saturday March 20th from 10am-4pm. When touring the event, be sure to look for OSR's booth in the business
fair - stop in and say hello to all of our friendly staff!
Anthem Days is free, open to the public and will be held in the Anthem Community Park, March 20th-21st from 10:00am-5:00pm. We look forward to seeing you there - for any questions or to pre-register for the Challenge, call our Anthem office at 623.551.9706.
