aquatic therapyThis exciting treatment alternative gives us a remarkable range of options for rehabilitating patients ranging from post-op and vehicle accidents to those who require limited weight bearing therapy.

By reducing gravity’s effect, aquatic therapy reduces pressure on joints, aquatic therapy is an ideal environment for progressive early intervention with activities and exercises designed to achieve positive treatment results.

Patients suffering from knee, shoulder, or hip problems, arthritis, stroke, and recovering back or neck injury have responded extremely well to our aquatic therapy program.

With this new program:

  • Treatment can begin sooner.
  • Water flow provides assistance/resistance to body movements.
  • Patients experience improved muscle strength and endurance through higher resistance.
  • Pressure on joints and spine is alleviated.
  • Pain and inflammation are reduced.
  • Patients see a decrease in muscle spasms.
  • Range of motion increases.

aquatic rehabilitationWe know both patients and physicians have been asking for aquatic therapy for a while, so we're excited about being able to offer it to our patients in the North Valley. We're also looking toward being able to offer aquatic therapy in our Peoria clinic as well.
